Brace yourselves! The greatest show on earth is returning to London this October with two huge games from the NFL. Why not go in a group and travel to the matches in style with MET coaches, taking the stress out of getting to Twickenham and Wembley.
There is nothing quite like the buzz that accompanies the NFL. Bright lights, big sights, and some rip-roaring sporting action thunders in to the capital city this month starting with the New York Giants versus LA Rams on 23rd October. This one takes place at Twickenham, the home of English Rugby, and features some of the biggest names in the NFL. Using MET coaches to get in to the stadium early is the best bet.
It’s your chance to see NFL legend Eli Manning turn out for the Giants, while teammate Odell Beckham Jnr has been writing headlines with some stunning performances and outrageous catches over the past 12 months. The hopes of the LA Rams will largely rest with the form of quarterback Jared Goff, the youngster who is making big waves with the Rams.
A week later, attention turns to the national stadium, Wembley, where the Washington Redskins tackle the Cincinnati Bengals on 30th October. This one carries the added spice of seeing the Redskins coached by former Bengals offensive coordinator, Jay Gruden. It’s going to be all about the offensive line-ups, and promises to be a tight affair under Wembley’s famous arch.
While car parking is available at Wembley, traffic on match nights is heavy and can add a long time to your travel. Train and tube are better options, with several London Underground and Overground lines servicing stations around Wembley. They are Wembley Park, Wembley Stadium Station and Wembley Central.
Twickenham is equally as tricky when there is a game on, with Twickenham Station your best bet when it comes to public transport. Rail services to Twickenham Station run regularly from London Waterloo, Clapham Junction and Reading, as well as other locations. London Overground also services Twickenham although the nearest underground stations are at Hounslow East and Richmond.
A group trip to the NFL can be the perfect way to enjoy a game. With MET coaches to get you right in to your venue in plenty of time, groups can enjoy all of the razzmatazz we’ve come to expect from the NFL and create memories to last a lifetime.
From hard-hitting tackles to awe-inspiring touchdowns, the excitement the NFL offers can rarely be matched by sport anywhere in the world. In fact, the culmination of the NFL season, The Super Bowl, was watched by an estimated 114.4million viewers around the world in 2015. When the NFL comes to London, it’s the perfect chance to experience one of the greatest shows on earth with your friends, family or teammates from your own sporting club.
As with any big sporting event, getting to the venue is always a headache. Taking advantage of MET coaches by having your own private bus or coach take you to and from the venue is the best way to enjoy the NFL in our capital city. Sit and relax in comfort while your driver does the hard work, and use the time to read-up on the big game, chat with others in your group, or get some much-needed shut-eye before the show begins.
