As we’re approaching summer, it’s time we start planning more outdoor fun with family and friends, and some of the best outdoor attractions in the UK are theme parks. There are several theme parks that await your visit including:
Located between the towns of Staines-upon-Thames and Chertsey in south-east England, Thorpe Park is one of the most popular theme parks in the UK. Thorpe Park features a wide selection of thrilling rides like THE SWARM, Derren Brown’s Ghost Train and Stealth. Due to their popularity, wait times can reach up to 60 minutes in peak season, so we highly recommend you buy the Fast Track Pass. If you choose to travel with us, we’ll get you there early so you can enjoy your day to the fullest and try as many rides as possible. We’ll even wait in the parking lot for your return.
Keep in mind that most of the rides at Thorpe Park are not suitable for toddlers and babies.
Chessington World of Adventures is more than just a theme park. Consisting of a zoo, aquarium, on-site themed hotels and a theme park, people of all ages will enjoy their time there. Chessington theme park features several themed areas and is home to much-loved rides including Vampire in the Wild Woods area and Rameses Revenge in the Forbidden Kingdom area. As it is a popular adventure destination, seeing over 1.5 million visitors each year, we recommend the Fast Track ticket for the popular rides.
Chessington also features two Go Ape courses – Tree Top Junior and Tree Top Adventure – in the Explorer Car Park and is accessible for anyone above 1m in height. This attraction doesn’t require a ticket for Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
Located in Berkshire, Legoland Windsor Resort is an adventure theme park perfect for young children and has several rides suitable for wheelchair users. This children-friendly theme park offers several themed areas, each featuring a handful of interactive rides and activities such as the 4D interactive Ninjago ride in Lego Ninjago World and the Driving School in Lego City. For visitors with limited mobility or need to remain in their wheelchair, we recommend the PlayStation gaming zone or the Lego Studios 4D Lego Reef.
Those in search of a water-themed adventure should visit Sandcastle Waterpark in Blackpool. Sandcastle Waterpark is the UK’s largest indoor waterpark and has rides suitable for all ages. Younger children and families will enjoy attractions like the Typhoon Lagoon wave pool. For the thrill seekers, the Master Blaster is the world’s longest indoor roller coaster waterslide totalling 250m in length. Best of all, you can rely on our minibus and coach hire service to get you to and from the theme park – a perfect treat after a long day of excitement and adventure.
Our MD Peter Evans is passionate about making his customers happy and ensuring they have a great experience with MET, which is why we offer a reliable minibus and coach transport service. We believe that the fun begins on the journey, not just when you arrive.
MET Coaches is located in Watford, Hertfordshire near the M25 and M1 motorways, making it easy for us to meet you at your location to pick you up. We provide services for North and West London, Hertfordshire, Berkshire and more, and can take you to any location of your desire in the UK.
Please be aware that most of the rides at these attractions are outdoors and some rides may close in cases of poor weather including high winds, thunder or lightening due to health and safety reasons. Furthermore, be sure to bring sun cream and hats for very sunny days and rain ponchos or umbrellas if rain is expected.
